Carved Vase *Seconds Sale* – Diving Cormorant and Herring

**More photos to come**

Seconds Sale – Discounted due to surface crack in foot and interior glaze crawling. See last two photos for details of the flaws. Does not effect function.

Handmade vase with a carved illustration of a diving Brandt’s cormorant, chasing after a school of silver and blue herring, swimming deeper into an intertidal zone featuring an ochre seastar, feather duster worms, barnacles, and urchins.

Vases are wheel-thrown and carved by hand, creating a gently textured surface that feels comfortable and grounding to hold. Each carved section is carefully hand-glazed with many individual glaze colours, applied one by one to build a layered, vibrant surface. The detailed glazing process makes every piece completely unique, with subtle variations in colour and pattern that highlight the handmade nature of the piece.
